Help for Heroes is a 501©3 not for profit organization, is a collaboration between Veteran Contracting, building supply vendors, volunteers, and supporters to make safe and handicapped accessible homes available to veterans and special needs children.

When our wounded heroes return home from overseas they face a new challenge of navigating their own homes due to the lack of assistive and adaptive technology. Renovations to their existing homes to meet their new needs are extremely expensive and few of our vets can afford the costs without help.

Out of the nearly 160,000 disabled veterans in Georgia, 65% have an annual household income of less than $20,000.

When U.S. Army veteran Manny Spears realized how many of his brave brothers and sisters were struggling in their adjustment to life after returning home he made a life-‐ changing decision. With his commercial construction company thriving, Manny decided it was time to utilize his skills and his connections to give back and empower his fellow veterans, as well as injured and sick children. In 2016 Manny founded Help for Heroes.

The mission of Help for Heroes is simple. Renovate homes to be more accessible to the disabled, restoring quality of life for our wounded veterans, a safe and therapeutically sound environment for children with mobility challenges the through this, significantly reduce the stress on the shoulders of their caregivers.

Help for Heroes believes that these brave men and women of the military have already given so much in the service of our country, and that children with disabilities deserve the help they need to live fully and safely in their own homes. That’s why we work with generous donors, community groups and volunteers to ensure that the wounded veterans that we work with never have to pay for the much-‐ needed assistive and adaptive renovations to their homes.
