Littlest Heroes

When Help for Heroes founder Manny Spears set out to make a difference in the lives of wounded veterans he couldn’t help but notice the jarring statistics of another under-‐served population – children with special needs.

There are more than 13,000 medically fragile children living in Georgia and nearly half of these kids are confined to   wheelchairs due to chronic illnesses such as Cerebral Palsy and Muscular Dystrophy or have had life-‐threatening illnesses rob them of their ability to walk independently.

Manny, feeling blessed for the health and wellbeing of his own children, decided that Help for Heroes would not only serve our wounded military heroes but also the Littlest Heroes whose families struggle daily with mobility and independence.

Help for Heroes is proud to offer the same assistive and adaptive renovations for our Littlest Heroes.

If you are a family member or know of a child in need of our assistance, please nominate them so we can contact them.
